Wednesday, April 7th, 2021
- We pretty much started from scratch the patterns unit since many students in the class said they missed a large portion of it in Grade 6 when school went online. We reviewed the difference between an equation, expression and variable. We also touched on the balanced/unbalanced equations and reviewed writing algebraic expressions. Constants and coefficients were the new vocabulary words introduced, which led to us taking more time flushing it out by looking at it in a scenario.
- No homework today.
Tuesday, April 6th, 2021
Today, we spent most of the block getting to know each other, as well as discussing Mrs. Tam's classroom expectations. We also discussed where they left off in Math before Spring Break. Starting tomorrow, we will review the concepts introduced by Mr. Moir to ensure we are all on the same page about the terminology and basic concepts before diving deeper into patterns.
